.SHORT TERM...
(This afternoon through Sunday)
Issued at 247 PM EST Sat Dec 13 2025
A weak stationary boundary currently cuts the CWA in half and was
the source of some patchy fog, especially near Columbus, this
morning. As the sun comes out, temps will continue to climb into a
very pleasant early winter day. Highs in the mid 60s with some
pockets of low 70s are possible. Winds will ease from yesterday`s
breezy conditions although the occasional gust to 15mph could be
possible out a head of the approaching cold front. The chance for
scattered showers will increase during the overnight period and
linger into Sunday morning. Any areas that don`t see precip will
likely see fog given the saturated environment.
Strong high pressure in the upper midwest is set to bring down
the coldest air of the season Sunday night and into Monday. This
cold front will sweep away any lingering precip and the remnants
of today`s stationary front and leave very cold air in it`s place.
Lows on Sunday and into Monday morning are expected to fall into
the teens with windchill values approaching single digits. As a
result, a Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for the CWA. It`ll
be a cold commute on Monday morning so please make sure kids and
pets are safe out there!
